Dear Friends,

As I had been busy lately, I had not sit down to listen all my downloaded soundtracks as provided by Deepakji and hence I am not in a position to comment. But I do agree on one thing as highlighted by Dr. Prasad Ji that is the usage of any kind of software to enhance the sound quality.

When we are dealing with a recorded sound on a device say a cassette or vinyl, it has gone through several processes by the sound and mixinng engineer and finally recorded or pressed into a vinyl, cd or cassette. It is therefore advisable not to enhance any sound by using any medium be it a software or graphic equalizer as these methods is shunned by true audiophiles. Listen to the sound in it's originality and tonality.

I am forever thankful to Deepakji for his sincere effort in uploading soundtraks and sacrificing whatever little precious time he has and for me these are just minor issues as I can always increase the bass or decrease it on my pre amplifier.

Lastly thank you Deepakji for sharing and I look forward to your future uploads.

Warmest Regards
Darmendar Singh

Deepak Bhai,

Indeed, it's a great and improved rip. The crisp and vibrancy of genuine vinyl is clearly noticed. Trust me... I am very much impressed with this quality. Simply awesome..!!

Since the rip is without any manipulation, one could edit it as per requirement. I use Sony Sound forge and iZotope softwares. Plus I have the Bose Quitecomfort headset. It works magical.

I might sound arrogant. However, I personally think that the free version of Audacity is NOT so professional. It has many compromises. So I prefer to avoid it. It's my personal preference and may not match with others. Never mind!!

Again... Thanks a ton for such an exclusive rip.

Regards,

Prasad

Deepak Bhai,

You are a lawyer. You are well versed with the laws. Last time you have had shared your concern that some people sell your vinyl rips online. I have a thought. Why can't we share the song links directly to the active and genuine members? I am sure none of our music lovers will sell. Pl suggest.

Regards

Prasad

If i am not wrong ..rockme shared a lot of madrotter genuine vinyl rips all of them had the classic and vintage vinyl hiss..no one had any claim against him so im sure nothing of the sort what deepak bhai has been referring to is gonna happen..so just a humble suggestion that deepak bhai should share his classic collection in the classic form..otherwise even a vinyl rip sounds just like a mp3 or cd rip if it lacks the classic vinyl hiss..this is just my view as a listener..any member might disagree with it..
Regdz.

Xicecybervila said...

Yes Inam Bhai you are right but don't forget they are mp3 and if you are getting in WAV vinyl rip without hiss it doesn't mean they are low quality.Prasad sir has suggested his opinion earlier also.I'm taking risk again and will share new rips with hiss sound.
Regards

fawad Moradi said...

Dear Inam bhai yes you are right that Rockme bro shared Madrotter and 3rd floor too many rips and no one claim for thier rips and including me all members doing the same that getting music from net net and sharing with each other.

Dear Deepak bhai if you want your classic hiss shares to be safe then reduce their size to Mp3 320kbps because quality matters not big size like wave and flac.
If source is rich then you can get good taste in Mp3 as well.
Big size files are just waste of time on download and waste of space in Hard drive if the quality is without vinyl classic sound and taste.
My own opinion may be some members happy with big file size.
Please you decide what is good to share as you shared mp3 in the previous time.
Best Regards,
Fawad

Thanks for your reply deepak bhai...
Im sure all will be well..as fawad bhai also mentioned the same..so no worries at all..
.will eagrly wait for your uploads with the classical hiss..
That will be a treat for all the xice members.

Many regards...

Mukesh sharma said...

FULLY AGREE WITH FAWAD BHAI,If source is rich then you can get good taste in Mp3 as well ,SO 320 KBPS OR 16 BIT FLAC IS OK WITH ME rather than big size file.

Let's maintain the highest quality! Those who are interested in mp3 or lossy format may convert the FLAC or wav at their own level. We already have had enough discussion on lossy and rich formats. So it is better to avoid distractions.. Enjoy... the quality rips!!!

For me the classic vinyl sound would always come first and then this wav etc thing ..the recent examples being alibaba 40 chor posted by darmendar bhai and haan pehli baar posted by fawad bhai..both are mp3 fornats but what a listening pleasure ..college girl posted by deepak bhai in the classical sound gives the same listening joy..all credit to the calssic vinyl sound..

I am happy to see this healthy discussion on vinyl hiss.
quite long back i was the first person to suggest tht hissing sound of vinyl should be left intact as that is what is essence of vinyl rip. and Deeepak Bhai agreed to it too. When we use softwares to remove hiss then alongwith hissing sound some data is definitely lost which actually takes away the vinyl pleasure. one such album from where i felt this was WO JO HASEENA uploaded by Deepak ji a few years back and few other albums uploaded subsequently.

i too feel mp3 with 320 kbps is fine enough.

So deepak bhai i think you can leave the hissing intact and then those who want to remove the hissing sound they can do that..

its just a healthy suggestion and not meant to heart any one and most importantly you Deepak bhai.. Hats off to the hard work being done by you... you can concentrate on rips more if you leave this task of removing hissing sound.

Dear Quest Bhai,

Agreed! However, I just want you to feel the real sound quality in Bose headphones. If anyone is using the cheap mobile headphones, I can guarantee that it is not the correct/right device to judge the sound quality.

Pl do one exercise. DVD quality versus Blue ray quality. I am desperately waiting for your response.

Best wishes,

Dr. Prasad

I totally agree with saurabh here..whats the point in listening to a vinyl rip without a hiss ..if anyone is so much irritated with it then why not listen to the digital quality of the same album which is widely available..if someone claims to be a vinyl lover then hiss has to be accepted as its part and parcel.simply no point in a vinyl rip with out hiss and hence loosing the data and vinyl essence...in such a scanrio ill prefer the digital quality no matter its wav or flac and no matter im using bose headphones or cheap headphones..☺

Dr. Prasad S. Burange said...

I think there is some confusion which seems to be still prevailing. Never mind.

There is consensus that Vinyl means classic hiss. If manipulated, the originality is lost. So no question about the vinyl without hiss. We all have parallel thoughts on this issue. So, I hope there shall not be any confusion here onwards.

Now about choosing among mp3 and wav or FLAC format. I already have hinted that mp3 will not give the full fledged details. Again, it is a personal preference. Quality means quality. No one can expect the highest quality from a 700 MB VCD over 16 GB Blue Ray disk having 7.1 channel audio output. I hope there should not be any disagreement on the quality issue. Again it's the quality that matters.

Now about choosing the right output hardware. Why Mercedes car costs over 50 lakhs while Maruti 800 costs about 3-5 lakhs? Again, it is quality hardware. I am not boasting about possession of Bose or Seinheisser hardwares. Anyone could purchase these, if resources permits. Through mentioning, I just wanted to impress upon the quality of these hardwares which are known all over the world. One could thoroughly enjoy the quality.

Finally, a combination of both genuine vinyl high quality rip plus an outstanding hardware is a must for experiencing the best audio results.

I sincerely hope that there will not be any issues here onwards, and hope that this chapter is closed. Also, I can not explain anymore here onwards.

Enjoy

Regards

Prasad

Dear Dr Prasad,
I appreciate that you have a well configured music judging system. I can understand your love for large volume files as you being the first person to request and support large volume files.
We are music lovers and dont understand mercedes and maruti in music. My Sennheiser earphone gives me ultimate hearing pleasure for rips at 320kbps too.
so my post is not to elude genuine music lovers from having voluminous listening pleasure.

Dr. Prasad S. Burange said...

Dear Dr. Saurabh,

Good morning!! Thanks for the reply.

I forgot to add to my previous post that rich files are the best resource for editing purpose. My ears like minute DETAILS. And somehow mp3 failed to give me satisfactory results though boosted. Simple rule: more the data, more the details, and that in turn elevates the experience of richness of music. To compliment to my quality claim, I want to share my personal experience in photography. If you are aware, Canon has L series lenses. L stands for Luxury. I have a couple of high end expensive lenses and an ordinary lens too. Quality difference is surely there. And RAW format file is generally 3-4 times bigger than the JPG. 22 MB vs. 6 MB. But you can get the finest details in RAW only. Well! That's a little digression from music. But my point is that quality matters.

I am glad that Seinheisser headphones are doing wonders. Whenever possible, pl do try Bose headphones.

Best regards

Prasad

P.S.: These shared thoughts are the personal opinions/experiences and there is no push to accept these.

Dear Dr Prasad,
Good Afternoon
i am glad that you are equipped with so many wonderful things you mentioned and also which you might be mentioning in future.. The point I highligted is "Hissing sound of Vinyl" whether small file or big file. The 500 MB+ files without typical vinyl hissing or a smaller 320 kbps rips with all natural sound intact.
